2016-03-02 9th Meeting - Porto

The BeingEnergy project held its final consortium meeting at UPORTO's premises in Porto. Discussions focused around the project's closing process, and the exploitation plans for its results. The company INNOVCAT, which signed a letter of interest to mass-produce the developed catalyst, was remotely in contact during part of the meeting, and afterwards negotiated with the partners regarding the future catalyst production. This meeting marked the conclusion of the project.

 

2015-11-17 Programme Review Days 2015 - Brussels

The FCH-JU organized the 5th edition of its Programme Review in Brussels, and the BeingEnergy project was among the participants. The display included posters about BeingEnergy, and the presence of a consortium member to present the project and answer questions.

 

2015-10-20 8th Meeting - Porto

BeingEnergy held its 8th consortium meeting at INOVA+'s premises in Porto. In addition to discussing the work done in the previous semester, the consortium focused in the project's closing process, and in the follow up to the BeingEnergy initiative. It was agreed there would be a final meeting to discuss the exploitation of the project's results.

 

2015-06-23 ICCMR12 participation - Szczecin

The BeingEnergy project did a large presentation in the International Conferences on Catalysis in Membrane Reactors (ICCMR) event. The ICCMR is a biannual conference which brings experts from across the world to discuss the state-of-the-art on in Membrane Reactors, the primary area of the BeingEnergy project. The presentation took place as part of the “Session on European Projects related to the conference topics”. Its theme was a general overview of the BeingEnergy project, the work done, and the results achieved during its execution.

 

2015-04-16 Hannover Messe - Hannover

The BeingEnergy project was present in the Hannover Messe, the largest industrial fair in the world. This annual event covers a wider range of themes and exhibits in the areas of R&D, industrial automation and IT, industrial supply, production engineering and services, as well as energy and environmental technology. While several consortium partners (DLR, VTT, and SerEnergy) were present in previous editions of the fair, and included references to BeingEnergy (leaflets, posters, etc.), this year the project itself was able to have a display. This participation was facilitated by the FCH-JU, which granted the consortium a space on its booth. The project showed a prototype of the fuel cell developed on BeingEnergy, and had several members of the work team present to distribute leaflets and answer questions.

 

2015-03-27 7th Meeting - Valencia

BeingEnergy held its 7th consortium meeting at ITQ's premises in Valencia. During this one day event the status of the project was discussed, including work done since the last meeting, current status of the various tasks, and schedule for the next semester. In particular the pending technical issues for the last year of the project were thoroughly discussed, and joint plans agreed upon on how to proceed to ensure the best results. The meeting ended with the final decisions and a tentative agreement regarding the next meetings' date and location.

2014-10-09 6th Meeting - Stuttgart

BeingEnergy held its 6th consortium meeting at DLR's premises in Stuttgart. In addition to discussing the work done in the previous semester, the consortium focused in defining the best way to include the recommendations of the project reviewers in the future work plans. Various open discussions also took place to discuss specific technical points. The meeting ended with a tentative agreement regarding the next meetings' date and location.

Mid-Term Review 1

BeingEnergy approved at mid-term review

BeingEnergy had its mid-term review on the 12th of June. During this one day event the project was evaluated by two external experts commissioned by the FCH-JU to analyse the evolution of the project during its first half, a period that run from September 2012 to February 2014. To this end during the meeting the BeingEnergy partners were invited to show their work in a series of PowerPoint presentations, including tasks evolution, difficulties felt, and future schedule. At the end of the day the reviewers expressed their approval to the BeingEnergy Project Officer, Mr. Enrique Giron, which reported the project was in a good path, granting it a high mark.

 

4th consortium meeting, 27th of Feb 2014

BeingEnergy held their 4th consortium meeting at Rhodia's premises in France. During this one day event the consortium discussed the work done in the previous 6 months of the project, and prepared the work for the next semester. In addition each partner presented the issues it encountered, and how it affected their work. Various open discussions also took place to discuss specific technical points. Of particular interest was the discussion regarding the preparation of the upcoming mid-term review meeting. The event ended with the final decisions on future project work for the upcoming semester, including a set of guidelines to prepare the review.

 

3rd Consortium Meeting on the 7th of October 2013

The BeingEnergy consortium partners held their 3rd consortium meeting at VTT's premises in Finland. During this one day event the status of the project was discussed, including work done since the last meeting, current status of the various tasks, and schedule for the next semester. In particular the pending technical issues were thoroughly discussed and joint plans agreed upon on how to proceed to ensure the best results. The meeting ended with the final decisions and a tentative agreement regarding the next meetings' dates and locations.

 

2nd Consortium Meeting on the 12th and 13th of March 2013

In the middle of March the BeingEnergy consortium met at ITM-CNR's premises in Italy to discuss the work done in the first 6 months of the project, and prepare the work for the next semester. During the one and a half day meeting each partner presented the work done on its part, as well as the open issues and near-term work schedule. Various bilateral meetings also took place to discuss specific technical points. The meeting ended in the second day with the final decisions on future project work for the upcoming semester.

 

Technical meeting on the 19th of Oct. 2012

Consortium partners SerEnergy, DLR, and VTT held a technical meeting on the former's premises in Denmark. In it SerEnergy presented their fuel cell and reformer product, and technical planning was made among the present regarding the course of action for the next few months. In addition to the decision making those present visited SerEnergy laboratories, with a presentation of its stacks and the testing facilities. The meeting ended after lunch with the final decisions on future work for the upcoming months.

 

Project kick-off on the 14th of Sep. 2012

The BeingEnergy project had its kick-off meeting on Portugal at University of Porto's facilities in Portugal. During the one day event the consortium partners presented their organisations, their roles in the project, and views on different technical and administrative issues. The project was presented by the coordinator, including the work schedule for the next upcoming months for all partners. Open issues were jointly discussed, and the decisions included on the planned schedule. In the afternoon those present visited UPORTO's laboratories and testing facilities. The meeting ended in mid-afternoon with the final decisions on future work for the upcoming months.
